1. Introduction
Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) seeks submissions from experienced and qualified providers specializing in Logistical Services and Freight Forwarding. This RFI aims to evaluate potential service providers capable of managing comprehensive fleet logistics operations globally.
2. Scope of Work
KOTC requires extensive logistical support for our international fleet, placing approximately 13,000 orders annually across Europe, Korea, Japan, Singapore, and the UAE. Key areas of service include:
2.1. Purchase Order Follow-Up and Supplier Coordination:
- Ensure acknowledgment and resolution of discrepancies post Purchase Order issuance.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers to confirm collection and delivery details ahead of scheduled dates.
- Provide real-time order status updates to ensure prompt and efficient delivery.
- Secure and manage storage of orders until further direction is provided by KOTC's Fleet Logistics Team.
2.2. Warehousing Requirements
- The contractor must maintain operational warehouses in the following locations:
- South Korea
- Japan
- Singapore
- Rotterdam, Netherlands
- Fujairah, United Arab Emirates
- Any other specified area
2.3. Freight Services
- Air Freight Solutions: Secure competitive rates with airlines for various service levels, manage daily freight consolidation, and handle dangerous goods and urgent spares.
- Sea Freight Solutions: Offer customized shipping options including LCL and FCL, oversee packing and loading, and leverage a global network of shipping companies for optimal pricing and flexibility.
- Road Freight Solutions: Provide competitive regional transport solutions for general, bulk ,and oversized cargo.
2.4 Customs Clearance Services:
Deliver efficient customs clearance services to ensure timely delivery.
2.5 Service Model:
- The services shall be conducted as "Door to Deck service model" or a Strong network of local partners and agents in major ports for inboard delivery.
2.6. Service Operation
Ensure 24/7 service availability to meet KOTC's operational demands
3. RFI Objectives
- Identify capable contractors with a proven track record in logistics.
- Collect detailed information on service offerings, capabilities, and global reach.
- Assess operational and technical capacities of potential providers.
- Inform the developments of a future Request for Proposal (RFP).
4. Submission Requirements
Interested companies are requested to provide the following information:
- Company Profile: A brief overview of the company, including experience in the field of logistical services and forwarding services. Certifications, licenses, and affiliations with international logistics and maritime bodies.
- Global Presence: Detailed information on the company's global network, particularly in the required locations (South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Rotterdam and UAE).
- Service Capabilities: Description of the services offered, particularly in relation to the scope of work outlined above, Experience in handling similar services or clients in the marine industry. Technological capabilities, including tracking systems, communication platforms, and IT infrastructure.
- Operational Capacity: Information on the company's ability to provide 24/7 service and manage Door to Deck service models.
- Experience: Case studies or examples of previous work in similar fields or with similar scope, particularly with large fleets or maritime clients.

List of major clients and relevant case studies.
- Additional Information: Any other relevant information that would assist KOTC in evaluating your company's capabilities.
